Your exam and course scope
Texas Journeyman Electrician: NEC Knowledge (59 items, including 3 unscored, 130 min) and Calculations (26 items, including 2 unscored, 110 min); 70% required on each. Current exam reference: NEC 2026. Technical course revalidation remains pending; confirm details in the PSI bulletin and on TDLR's site.
Where this applies. This course covers only the Texas TDLR journeyman electrician exam (PSI); electrician licenses and exams are set state by state, so if you are not testing in Texas this course is not matched to your exam.
This is knowledge practice for the written exam. It does not replace approved training, eligibility checks, or any skills evaluation your certifying body requires. TDLR and PSI can revise the exam format and NEC edition — verify the current candidate information bulletin before you schedule.
What you get
11 teaching modules and 83 practice questions, with narrated lessons, cards, explained answers and review of missed material. Review tests are drawn from the bank you drill and scored against a labelled practice readiness bar — a study target, not the official passing score and not a conversion to it.
How the real exam is scored. The official Texas Journeyman Electrician exam requires at least 70% on each separately scored portion: NEC Knowledge and Calculations. Time does not transfer between portions. This app's short review tests use a combined practice readiness bar, not the official two-portion scoring process.
